In the final hours of yesterday, July 3rd, a story of hope and redemption unfolded deep in the Ugandan jungle. John Muyambi of Small Miracles Orphans Home, accompanied by four police officers, traveled 11 grueling hours into the Masindi district on a desperate mission. He was fighting for an elderly grandmother named Sarah, whose two grandchildren, a 12-year-old boy and a 7-year-old girl orphaned by HIV, had been cruelly stolen from her. A man had deceived her with a promise of education and care at his "boarding school," a promise that turned into a nightmare when the children never returned.
After weeks of investigation prompted by John's advocacy, they located the children. What they uncovered was a horror beyond imagination. Not only did they find Sarah's grandchildren, but they also discovered 11 other children, all kidnapped and forced into a life of slavery. These 13 precious lives were confined to a single room, fed only one meal a day, and sent out from sunrise to sunset to beg on the streets. Yesterday, because of this ministry's dedication to serving the vulnerable, four traffickers were arrested, and 13 children were saved from human slavery.
This is the fruit of a ministry that actively seeks justice and defends the fatherless. We are here to serve the entire community, and this rescue is a powerful testament to the purpose God has called us to. Your support allows us to be a beacon of hope and a force for good in a dark world.
